"Fly On" is a abstracted interpretation of a woodland scene, where the birds have just taken flight, heading toward somewhere new.
This painting represents the sad, but beautiful moment of letting something go, and leaving a place behind. Sometimes we have dreams and hopes for what could have been, and they attach themselves to a particular place or time where you felt they should have happened. It's not easy to accept when something hasn't worked out and you can want to hang on to that place in case it does all work out eventually, but actually sometimes it's a case of accepting that moving on is the only way forward. It's not giving up, but moving toward a new place that will offer different opportunites to have those dreams fulfilled.
